The next generation DVD war has finally ended. After years of fierce battle, blu-ray disc has emerged a victor. Over the last few months there have been many shocking blows for the HD DVD camp. The biggest came when Warner Home Video announced it would support Blu-ray exclusively. Last week Walmart, USA’s biggest DVD retailer also stood behind the fighter in the blue corner. This week Toshiba, the company behind HD DVD, finally announced it would move out of the next generation DVD arena.

Blu-ray is an outstanding format. The storage space on a Blu-ray disc allows for full high-definition video and lossless audio.
