Bisadora Garter Purse

December 12th, 2007

Bisadora Garter PurseFor anyone who has ever done the ‘dance around your handbags circle’ in a nightclub, keep reading, as you are in desperate need of a Bisadora Garter Purse.

There are two things I can’t stand doing or seeing on a crowded dancefloor - one is girls dancing with a drink in their hand, the other is girls dancing holding some ridiculously filled-with-cosmetics clutch, oversized shopping tote or ugly shoulder bag. You should always have your hands and arms free for dancing, which will not only avoid causing injury to yourself, but also innocent bystanders like me.

Recently I went clubbing a few weeks in a row and found it increasingly difficult to avoid carrying a bag. It usually meant that I had to sacrifice taking an alternate shade of lip gloss and multiple repair kit items such as band-aids for potential blisters. When I wore jeans it was not such an issue to hold my things, due to the number of pockets. However, dresses are all the rage this season and this results in a problem since they don’t usually come with any storage compartments. While my friend could hold any surplus items, I really did want a solution to this problem. I own a Gucci belt bag which does leave me hands free, however it doesn’t exactly go with a short pink satin dress. I thought that I really needed some kind of ‘holster’ purse I could strap around my leg to store all my loot out of site, but within easy (and modest) reach. I searched everywhere on eBay and the net and initially came up with nothing. I even went to the disposals store and got a single button compass pouch for $7 that I was going to strap some elastic to. Then, I found it.

While searching online yet again for something to fill my need, I happened to type in the magic words - “garter purse”, which took me too a wonderful label called Bisadora. The Bisadora patented Garter Purse is the ultimate solution to my ‘hands free dancefloor’ predicament. This silk charmouse beauty measures 4.25″ x 3″, which is just big enough to hold ID, credit card, gloss, key and some cash. If you have a small and slim mobile phone you will also be able to fit this in. If you can’t, I would just wear 2, Tomb Raider style. The Garter Purse comes in 3 sizes, and the wide elastic strap has silicone strips (like on a strapless bra) to prevent slippage.

I immediately ordered two (you can’t get them in Australia, but as I have the hook ups, you can email me at personalshopper@donesold.com.au and I can get you whatever you want from there) for the tiny price of only USD$19 each. I debuted the Bisadora Garter Purse in Brisbane last week and have to say the launch was flawless. I fit all my essentials, it was super comfortable and never slipped, and I danced the night away with hands free happiness. All my girlfriends absolutely loved it and I have since ordered several more for them. If you are desperate to get your hands on one too just drop me a line!
