If you’re a religious Oprah watcher, you’ll be familiar with Kimora Lee Simmons. She created the urban fashion label Baby Phat - sister label of Phat Farm created by (ex)husband and business partner Russell Simmons of Def Jam Recordings. Baby Phat is the leader in womens urban fashion, creating classy yet sexy pieces that are well suited to any size and shape. The range includes clothing, footwear, jewellery, lingerie/sleepwear, headwear and other accessories. Baby Phat also has a range of plus size clothing, although it’s not as extensive as the main line you can still get the best picks of the Baby Phat collection. The range is very reasonably priced - around USD$70 for a pair of jeans and USD$50 for a printed top - equal to what you’d pay in Australia for a brand that is not considered as ‘exclusive’.

Why do I love Baby Phat? It suits me perfectly since my name is Cat and the signature logo of Baby Phat just happens to be a gold cat. Unfortunately Baby Phat isn’t available in Australia and the website does not ship internationally. However, like most US brands I can get it imported here and it is far cheaper than what you would have to pay if you found it in any store here. If you love a bit of high class bling then you need to get Baby Phat.
