Temptation five dollar note code for Thursday 29th

November 29th, 2007

Rugby League 2008 $1 coinThe Temptation/NAB lucky $5 note competition results for Thursday 29th November is written below. Last night’s looks a little more like the notes I have. The numbers lately have had too many doubles in them, 2233, 4400, etc. Normally notes with cool looking serial numbers like those are hoarded by currency collectors.

Do you know what a “radar note” is? A coin/currency collector will often desire radar notes for their collection. This occurs when the serial number of a note reads the same backwards as it does forwards, as with the spelling of the word RADAR. For example, on an Australian $5 note the serial number might be BA 06 233 260 - This indicates that it is from the BA batch of notes from 2006 (BA 06) and is note number 233260 in a range from 000 001 to 999 999.

Of course, collectors also love those start and end notes, and basically any other numbers that look cool or mean something special. Some people might want numbers that match their birth dates, anniversary or any manner of combinations can make a note valuable to someone. I’d just love to have one that ends in a serial number that matches the Temptation $5 note competition for Thursday 29th November, which is 125023!

Whichever way you look at it, note and coin collecting can be fun, satisfying and sometimes profitable. The Perth Mint sells a range of collectible Australian coins and notes in uncirculated, collectible condition. Visit the Perth Mint and look around for a Christmas gift.

If you know someone who loves rugby league, why not add a 2008 commemorative $1 coin (pictured) to celebrate the centenary of Rugby League in Australia. 100 years of Rugby League from 1908 to 2008.
