Buying handmade chocolate online is Definitely the best!
October 10th, 2007
Recently I ordered chocolates online for the first time from Definitely Chocolate. When I began my search I wasn’t quite sure what to expect as most of the online gift hampers and chocolate sites I had seen looked pretty rubbish. I didn’t want to pay big bucks for a box of chocolates that were substandard or no-name brand chocolates.
When I found Definitely Chocolate, I chose to “Select My Own” from their collection of luxury handmade chocolates. I got a 32-piece ballotin for $63.50 which I had delivered to my partner at work by courier (only $9.95!). When you order chocolates online from Definitely Chocolate, they display a picture of each chocolate with its descriptive name and then you select the ones you want in pairs (so you can’t get 1, they must be ordered 2 at a time).
I ordered late night on a Tuesday, and they were delivered to Brisbane on Thursday morning at 7am, cold packed for perfection, nestled in a beautiful box then surrounded by purple packing with a personalised, hand written gift card, glossy “legend/key” and a little brochure about chocolate. I decided right then I would shop there again and I hadn’t even tasted the chocolates!
Now, the chocolates… if you have someone you really want to impress, then you should be ordering from Definitely Chocolate. They were the most exquisitely delicious chocolates I have ever eaten. I would swap 10 blocks of regular chocolate for even just 1 one of these. My favourite was the ‘Valentin Heart’ which is described as a “Passionfruit & White Peach Caramel filling in white and dark chocolate”. Not only does it look beautiful (perfect for Valentine’s Day or an Anniversary), they are *so* good! I have never before eaten something that actually changes flavour in your mouth and goes through different layers that all blend perfectly together.
The entire Definitely Chocolate experience gets a big thumbs up and rates 10/10 for website design and ease of use, customer service, product quality and range of handmade chocolates.
